Iberia has unified, in the Business Park (known as the Philips building), about a thousand executives, managers and salespeople who have until now worked in different rented premises in Madrid. The project forms part of the current Iberia Transformation Plan and its integrated airline application into International Airlines Group (IAG) along with British Airways (BA) aims to improve the coordination of its different departments to be together and obtain a better economy of scale.
The architect Gabriel Allende was responsible for carrying out the renovation work of the former headquarters of Philips, and the design of the new building, a sustainable complex with excellent features and open and avant-garde spaces. Amongst this complex, there are two padel courts, two cabins for practicing golf and a Mediterranean garden.
White is the absolute leader in furniture, dotted with a few touches of colour, representative of the the corporate image, recently released too.
Actiu was selected to provide the furniture for the new Iberia offices, offices designed under the concept of an open office and in which, the same as the rest of the changes carried out, the airline company has sought "to achieve a strong, modern, competitive Iberia being the star in the airline industry" according to the words of its president Antonio Vázquez.
This has been a project where the details have been very well looked after, some specifically manufactured furniture to achieve the desired image. Thus, the supplements become particularly important. The tabletop screens, for example, are not only dividers but are also decorative, upholstered in the corporate colours (red, granite and beige) which standout in the room.
