Just 100 metres from the seashore, in the centre of Alicante, on a first floor with large windows, is where GettingBetter is located; an advertising and marketing agency that can boast about, among many other things, being a National Marketing Award winner in 2019. Here is where communication campaigns, slogans and advertisements are dreamed up that bring brands to life all over the country, and whose talent, creativity and imagination capture consumers in a fun and intelligent way.
And there, in this laboratory of creativity, they turned to Actiu to equip offices where communication is key, in order to be able to share great ideas at any time.
A total of 15 creative types work in this spacious and open-plan office, where collaboration is as necessary as coffee. Their working hours are flexible. Each employee works according to their personal needs.
To design these offices, they worked closely with Actiu's Cool Working project team, to whom they transmitted their need to create offices that were representative of their way of working: creativity, commitment and seriousness, but also with a hint of madness and joy. And a lot of clarity and cleanliness.
If there is one thing that makes their offices stand out, it is visual cleanliness: there are very few cabinets, no wires and everything is in order. To do this, they created a hidden space where they store the few paper files used in this creative agency run by millennials, whose best storage space is the cloud.
The work stations, located in an open office where the brightest window is, are equipped with Vital Plus tables and Efit chairs, a highly versatile product with a wide range of customisation options, design, comfort and ergonomics that stands out due to its backrest adaptability and the lumbar support it offers.
The colour yellow and some shades of vegetable green delimit a wide, open-plan space where the teams can work together or separately. If anything defines GettingBetter´s work, it is the great mix of professionals working on each project. Planners, designers, creators and account managers work closely on specific campaigns, analysing briefings and resolving them through collaborative work. Ideas that can come to the surface at any time and that should not be met by obstacles. For this reason, it is essential to have versatile, flexible and modular furniture that allows them to move around and join teams temporarily.
Hence, in addition to the open-plan space, they have spaces for concentration. On the one hand, a meeting room equipped with Wing chairs and a Vital Plus table that, located in front of a large screen, allows them to work face-to-face or digitally. Furthermore, to welcome visitors in the best possible way without disturbing the rest of the team working outside.
However, if they are looking for more concentration or isolation, or even to take part in a long video call that might disturb the others, there is the "Thinking Room", a very cosy space where each team member can go to work if they need to concentrate better. A very bright area equipped with the Bend collection. A range with chairs that can be moved independently around the space for freelancers and collaborators who do not have their own office chair.
For client visits, in addition to a reception and meeting room, an open space equipped with Bend for waiting has been designed at the entrance. Furthermore, a Street Fighter arcade machine is a big hit with clients and employees alike, who take advantage of a quick break to clear their heads with this iconic video game.
A raised area for internal presentations and a space where things can be discussed is another one of the stand-out features of these offices. A place conceived as a meeting point and as a space to discuss projects as a team. Finally, a hidden kitchen and a bathroom round off these offices that mark a before and after for the agency, which now views furniture as an ally to continue creating great ideas and improve communication with its clients.
